ABERDEEN, S.D. – The 91ÖÆƬ³§ State University Department of Music has awarded scholarships from the Loren E. Lomis Music Scholarship fund covering the 2023-24 academic year for the following students: Ashlee Kaup, Hoven; Ava Pickard, Sioux Falls; Cassie Webb, Aberdeen; and Madelyn Westby, Aberdeen. Pursuant to the Last Will and Testament of Loren E. Lomis, these funds are to be used by the 91ÖÆƬ³§ State University Foundation for scholarships for those students who show promise and dedication to the fine arts of music.
Additionally, music students receiving this award from the 2022-23 academic year included the following: Hannah Gasperich, Aberdeen; and Brody Hampl, Hastings, MN. Music students receiving this award from the 2021-22 academic year included the following: Hannah Gasperich, Aberdeen; Eli Houdyshell, Pierre; and Lora Toncheva, Bulgaria.
