Dr. Shalini Mathew is an associate professor and Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) liaison for the master鈥檚 in counseling program. She is a National Board of Certified Counselors nationally certified counselor. She is serving as a site visit team member on the CACREP team of site visitors.
Dr. Mathew earned a doctor of philosophy degree in rehabilitation counseling and counselor education from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (2019), a master of philosophy degree in school counseling from Martin Luther Christian University, India (2014), a master of science degree in health and behavior science from Mahatma Gandhi University, India (2004) and a bachelor of science degree in family and community science with minors in chemistry and zoology from Mahatma Gandhi University, India (2002).
She has five years of experience in higher education in the U.S. and 12 years of experience in private mental health setting and K-12 schools in India. She has experience in curriculum revision, program development, and accreditation (CACREP and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). She also supervised practicum and internship students for three years while earning her doctorate.
