Laine Converse was named residential community coordinator in October of 2022. Since then, Converse has overseen residential communities, supervised student staff, and supported departmental initiatives that enhances the on-campus experience. He contributes to campus leadership through his role as advisor for the Residence Hall Association. Within Residence Life, Converse has played a key role in the development of new residential living options such as pet-friendly housing and themed communities

Converse earned his B.S.Ed. in history education in December of 2022 from 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ State University and a M.S.Ed in Higher Education Student Affairs from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in August 2025. Within his Masters program, Converse took on a research role focusing on Living Learning Communities and national best practices as 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ explores future program development.

His work has been recognized through departmental and campus honors, including the Student Service Award – Support Services (2023-2024) and the Team Award (Residence Life) for the 2024-2025 academic year. He also was selected to participate in the 2025 UMR-ACUHO Regional Entry Level Institute, a competitive professional development experience for housing professionals.
