ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 91制片厂 State University鈥檚 spring 2023 Noon Forums will begin Wednesday, Feb. 8, at noon in the Beulah Williams Library Round Room.
The featured speaker will be Dr. Jon Schaff, NSU professor of government, who will present the topic, 鈥淎gainst Critical Thinking.鈥
Schaff, director of 91制片厂鈥檚 Center for Public History and Civic Engagement, specializes in the study of American political thought and institutions. He has published on the presidency and political thought鈥
ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 91制片厂 State University signed a teach-out agreement with Presentation College today to help students complete their degrees at 91制片厂.
91制片厂 has been working toward an academic agreement with PC for quite some time, prior to Presentation鈥檚 recent announcement. Now, 91制片厂 has received approval from the Higher Learning Commission to move forward with the agreement.

ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 91制片厂 State University in Aberdeen, S.D., has released the dean鈥檚 list for the fall 2022 semester.

ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 The 91制片厂 State University Theatre Program will present the play "Eurydice" in the Johnson Fine Arts Center Black Box Theater.
Performances will run at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16, 17 and 18 as well as at 3 p.m. Feb. 19.
Sarah Ruhl鈥檚 鈥淓urydice鈥 harkens back to the Greek myth of Eurydice and Orpheus as young lovers who seek to find each other again in the Underworld鈥
ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 91制片厂 State University鈥檚 Dr. Nuurrianti Jalli has published a policy paper with the world-renowned public policy organization, the Brookings Institution.
The paper, titled 鈥淒isinformation and Democracy in Malaysia,鈥 was part of the Foreign Policy Democracy in Asia project, a collaborative effort by Jalli and fellow policy experts from around the world.
Jalli also attended a related conference at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., in December. Watch a video of her conference discussion鈥
ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 91制片厂 State University has named NSU alum and longtime regional educator Eric Kline as the Director of the 91制片厂 Academy.
As director, Kline will support and mentor high school students enrolled in 91制片厂 Academy, a new, on-campus academy for area students taking dual-credit courses.
鈥淚鈥檓 privileged to serve 91制片厂 State University and the Aberdeen community by fostering a deeper partnership between local high schools and 91制片厂 and by helping high school students transition to college,鈥 Kline said.

ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 The South Dakota Jazz Festival Concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, in the 91制片厂 State University Johnson Fine Arts Center.
The concert will feature performances by the Two O鈥機lock Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dr. Grant Manhart. Guest artists will include Ron Parker, piano, and other local talent.
Featured guest artist will be Summer Camargo, a trumpet student at The Juilliard School and Jerome Greene Fellowship recipient. Originally from Hollywood, Florida, Camargo recently won first place in the International Trumpet鈥
ABERDEEN, S.D. 鈥 For Itzel 鈥淚zzy鈥 Sanchez, a first-time mom and full-time student at 91制片厂 State University, scholarships are a big help鈥攊ncluding the South Dakota Freedom Scholarship.
鈥淏eing able to have that help from the community just helps a lot, to not have to pull from savings that we can use for day care, or when medical stuff comes up,鈥 said Sanchez, a junior elementary education major. 鈥淚t makes a big impact.鈥
